HOW IS A MENTOR MATCHED WITH A STUDENT?

Pior to signing up for a consultation, the parent provides us with a description of the student needs and background [LINK]. Our team reviews the description(s) provided and sets up a time for a parent meeting with a mentor we beleive to be the best fit with the student. The parents then decide if they'd like to move forward with the assigned mentor or choose a different team member to work with.

HOW LONG AND HOW OFTEN ARE MENTOR SESSIONS?

Typical sessions range from 30 minutes to an hour each week based on the parent's choice between zoom, facetime, or via phone call as requested. Meeting length can either be set as a flexible range or have a routine schedule. Mentors will regularly update parents about session times as well as request direction or topics from the parent based on what they're seeing at home.

CAN I JOIN THE PROGRAM DURING AN ACADEMIC YEAR OR AFTER SCHOOL IS OVER?

We accept students year round and provide a flexible schedule to best suite the students needs and academic, as well as extracurricular schedule.

WHAT IS OUR MENTORING PROGRAM DESIGNED TO ACCOMPLISH?

Emowering Minds Mentors are not licensed healthcare professionals. Our team of young professionals from a variety of backgrounds are trained to empower students with the skills and abilities they need to overcome obstacles, and set and reach goals.

HOW DO I SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS TO BEGIN MENTORING FOR MY STUDENT?

We have a booking app [LINK] that allows parents to see mentor's available times and can pick whatever time works best for them on that mentor's schedule. They can also set it as reoccuring or reschedule as needed through the app.
